Kelly and Matt’s wedding day at The Oaks at Salem in Apex, NC was absolutely beautiful. From their sweet first touch on the mezzanine balcony to their stunning sparkler exit at the front of the house, their wedding was a photographer’s dream! I had so much fun photographing their perfect day, surrounded by all their friends and family, at this gorgeous venue!
Kelly and Matt kicked off their wedding day at The Oaks at Salem, where they both got ready in the venue’s gorgeous bridal suite and groom’s quarters. The setting was perfect for capturing those pre-wedding moments. From Kelly’s beautiful dress to the excitement on Matt’s face, it was all so photogenic.
One of the highlights of the day was the first touch that Kelly and Matt shared on the mezzanine balcony. This private moment before their official walk down the aisle was so touching and intimate, with the venue’s picturesque backdrop adding to the magic of it all.
Kelly’s first look with her dad was really sweet! She wore a red baseball hat that her father had bought on the day she was born. He was so surprised to see her wearing it when she turned around! He didn’t even know that she had kept it all these years. His emotional reaction made for some truly unforgettable photos and a really sweet moment for them both.
After their church ceremony, Kelly and Matt were surprised by a luxurious Rolls Royce, courtesy of Kelly’s parents. It was such a classy touch and made their getaway from the church extra special. The car followed us all the way to their reception venue, so we were able to grab some amazing photos of them with the car and their beautiful venue in the background!
The celebration continued back at The Oaks at Salem with a reception that was nothing short of amazing. The couple’s first dance was a highlight of the evening, and just as it got dark, they had a fantastic controlled sparkler exit so that they could get some amazing photos, but keep partying the night away!
