We had a absolutely perfect fall day for Nicole and Hunter’s wedding. Here in the south, October weather doesn’t make a lot of sense sometimes! For a fall month that’s supposed to bring weather that’s perfect for sweaters, smores, and warm apple cider, a lot of the time, we get an extension of summer instead. Sometimes October days (especially early October days) are days where you can still walk around in sandals and shorts while chatting with your neighbors about how crazy the weather is. Nicole and Hunter’s big day at Cedar Hill Weddings and Events, however, was a magical blend of a warm, sun-filled day with a gentle cool breeze that makes you feel like everything is perfect! Not only was the weather amazing for their wedding day, but every detail of Nicole and Hunter’s wedding was just perfect.
There were so many heartfelt and emotional moments during their big day. It was clear how much the couple was loved by their sweet friends and family. The happy tears started during Nicole’s first look with her dad. The second Todd turned around and saw his baby girl in her wedding dress, the tears started flowing! As if that wasn’t sweet enough, Nicole also did a first look with all of her grandparents, who also broke down into tears at the sight of her. It was such a joy to capture the love between Nicole and her family during those first looks!
The heartfelt moments didn’t stop there! Nicole and Hunter shared a first touch around the corner of the barn while they read their vows. It was so funny to watch how excited Nicole was to see Hunter (even though she’s not supposed to yet!) She kept inching forward closer and closer to the edge of the corner. It was obvious she just couldn’t wait to see her groom!
The ceremony in the pine trees was beautiful and just as emotional as the beginning of the day. Tears slipped down Todd’s face as he walked his beautiful daughter down the aisle and both Nicole and Hunter beamed when they first caught sight of each other. I captured so many sweet photographs of them both looking adoringly at each other during their ceremony (which are some of my favorite photographs I get to take during weddings!).
We photographed Nicole and Hunter’s newlywed photos in the magical, tall pines that are what Cedar Hill Weddings and Events are known for! The sun glowing between the pine trees was beautiful and afterwards, the bride and groom returned to a delicious dinner, heartfelt speeches, and friends and family to dance the night away with. The sparkler exit was a perfect end to their perfect day.
