The Graham Mill Weddings: A Romantic Fall Celebration

Nathan and Elaina’s wedding at The Graham Mill in Graham, NC, was such a dream! This venue is seriously one of my favorites, and Nathan and Elaina made it so uniquely theirs. From the heartfelt ceremony, to the gorgeous personal centerpieces (that Elaina made herself, might I add!) to the unforgettable reception, their day was packed with happy tears, love, and laughs. Their Uptown Charlotte Engagement

Before we get to the wedding, let me back up a bit. I actually photographed their engagement session about a year ago in Charlotte, NC, where I’m based. They wanted something with big-city vibes to match the industrial vibe of their venue, so we hit up Uptown and found all these cool spots to show off their fun and stylish personalities. A Beautiful Greenhouse Ceremony

Their ceremony was in the greenhouse at The Graham Mill, and it was absolutely gorgeous. There’s something about the natural light in that space that makes everything feel so magical. Plus, the fact theat it was in a greenhouse made it nice and cozy warm, despite the fact their wedding was in the fall (love that!). Elaina had these really touching first looks—one with her bridesmaids, one with her dad, and another with her stepdad. Cue all the happy tears! One of her bridesmaids even prayed over her privately before the ceremony, which was such a beautiful moment.

Couples Photos with Fall Vibes

After the ceremony, we snuck across the street for some couples photos. Nathan and Elaina wanted a little nature in their shots (it was fall after all, we gotta try and get some of those gorgeous fall colors!), and we lucked out big time. The trees were showing off with these gorgeous red fall leaves, and it was the perfect contrast to the industrial backdrop of the venue. Their flowing veil photos right in front of that gorgeous red tree were my absolute favorites!

A Reception Full of Surprises

The reception was in the main building at The Graham Mill, and it was such a party! Instead of a traditional cake, they had all different kinds donuts—which is always a win in my book. But the best part? Halfway through the night, Nathan and Elaina changed into matching Nike tracksuits! Elaina rocked an all-white set, and Nathan was in all black. I’ve had couples come out in everything from a different dress and suit to pajamas, but tracksuits were a new one for me! I love the uniqueness (and the comfort) of it! Everyone loved it, and it added this playful, laid-back vibe to the rest of the night.
