There are some wedding days that stay with you long after the last photo is delivered and Meghan and Joshua’s Camelot Meadows Wedding is absolutely one of those days. From the emotional ceremony to the nonstop celebration that followed, their wedding day was filled with love, laughter, and a whole lot of joy (even in the middle of a blisteringly hot North Carolina summer!)
Camelot Meadows Event Venue is truly a hidden gem in Belmont NC, just outside of uptown Charlotte, and it offered the perfect place for Meghan and Joshua to begin their married life. Surrounded by acres of serene countryside, this venue blends rustic charm with natural beauty in a way that feels both relaxed and elevated.
A Beautiful Ceremony in the Bamboo Garden
Meghan and Joshua chose the bamboo garden as their ceremony site, and it could not have been more perfect! The wedding ceremony took place within the venue’s magical bamboo forest, creating an intimate and peaceful atmosphere that felt almost enchanted. The tall bamboo created a perfect backdrop for their vows, filtering the summer light and surrounding everyone with calming greenery.
The ceremony was beautiful and emotional, with Meghan’s bridal party bringing so much energy and support. They were truly there for her every step of the way, keeping spirits high and laughter flowing throughout the big day. Despite the heat, no one let it dampen the excitement for Meghan and Joshua’s big day!
Portraits Around Camelot Meadows
One of the things I love most about photographing a Camelot Meadows Wedding is the variety of stunning locations all in one place. After the ceremony and after family photos were finished, we explored the property for portraits, starting in the bamboo forest before moving to the open pasture and the field, where the soft light and wide views highlighted the venue’s natural beauty. We also captured photos in front of the beautiful event barn, which adds such a timeless and romantic feel to any gallery. The barn, paired with the surrounding greenery, is a great spot for classic portraits that still feel relaxed and authentic.
As the sun began to set, we headed to the venue’s waterfront location for couples photos on the dock. This part of the day was incredibly special – Meghan and Joshua added a lock to the dock alongside other married couples who have said their vows here before them. It was such a meaningful tradition and sunset on the water made it even more magical (and the wind was a paid actor for these shots!)
A Reception Full of Energy and Fun
The reception took place inside the stunning indoor event barn, which was glowing with market lights as the evening set in. The barn is spacious, inviting, and designed perfectly for celebrations that turn into unforgettable parties. The covered patio offered guests a place to step outside and cool off while still staying connected to the fun.
Camelot Meadows Event Venue also features a catering prep kitchen, making everything run smoothly behind the scenes. Meghan was able to relax and enjoy her bridal suite earlier in the day, another thoughtful detail that makes this venue such a perfect place for couples.
Halfway through the reception, Meghan surprised everyone by changing into a sparkly dress, and it was a total moment. The dance floor stayed packed all night and the energy never slowed down. Their friends and family truly knew how to celebrate!
A Magical Ending to the Big Day
As the night came to a close, Meghan and Joshua shared a beautiful sparkler exit that felt like the perfect ending to their Camelot Meadows Wedding. The sparklers lit up the night, framing them as they walked hand in hand, surrounded by cheers and glowing smiles.
