There is something truly special about photographing a Dugaren Vineyards Wedding, especially when it is filled with heartfelt meaning, nonstop laughter, and a packed dance floor. Gina and Zach’s summer celebration at Dugaren Venues & Vineyards was one of those days that felt joyful from beginning to end!
Originally from Texas, Gina and Zach chose to host their wedding in North Carolina because Gina’s grandmother lives nearby, making it a meaningful and central location for their families and closest friends. Their wedding at Dugaren was actually the second day of a multi day celebration, following a deeply meaningful cultural ceremony the day before that honored family traditions and connection. Gina wore beautiful ceremonial strands on her wrists, symbolizing love, blessings, and togetherness, a touching detail that added even more heart to the weekend.
An Outdoor Ceremony with Vineyard Views
Their ceremony took place outdoors, overlooking the rolling vines and vineyard views that Dugaren is known for. Even though it was a hot and sunny September day, spirits stayed high and the atmosphere felt relaxed and full of love. Dugaren truly is a perfect venue for couples who want scenic beauty paired with thoughtful design.
As a Lake Norman wedding venue located in the heart of Denver, Dugaren offers acres of beautiful land and acres of scenic land that make every moment feel elevated and intentional. With quick access from Charlotte and the surrounding areas, it is easy to see why couples travel from all over to host their celebration here.
Running Through the Vines and Dancing All Night
One of my favorite parts of this Dugaren Vineyards Wedding was photographing Gina and Zach during their couples portraits. They ran through the vineyards laughing, twirling, and soaking in every second together. These candid moments are what I love most as a wedding photographer, especially at a vineyards wedding venue like Dugaren where nature becomes part of the story. And let me tell you, it was GENIUS to plant roses right alongside the vineyards. Those blooming roses made for some of my very favorite, romantic images in Gina and Zach’s gallery!
A Reception Full of Energy and Modern Elegance
The reception facility at Dugaren blends modern elegance with warmth and character. Guests gathered beneath the covered veranda, enjoyed the stunning wall of windows, and spent time around the grand stone fireplace, which makes the space feel inviting even during larger celebrations. There is also a beautifully designed bridal suite, bride’s room, and groom’s room, making the getting ready experience calm and seamless.
Gina and Zach opted for a relaxed, fun reception, with a sweet Father-of-the-Groom and Daughter0in-Law dance and a fun mother-son dance. Their dancefloor slowly turned from relaxed and fun to electric as the night wore on. Gina, Zach, and all of their guests broke out their best dance moves on the dancefloor. Both Gina and Zach were even lifted up on shoulder and on a chair and paraded around the room! The energy was SO awesome and continued up until their romantic sparkler and bubble grand exit.
The venue really was set up to make Gina and Zach’s celebration the amazing event that it was. From beautiful, sweeping views of the vineyards, to a large, climate-controlled reception area, to a perfectly placed dancefloor for maximum party fun, Dugaren was the perfect choice for their big day. Whether you are planning Friday night weddings, a lively Saturday night celebration, or even a corporate event, Dugaren’s layout adapts beautifully to every type of gathering. As a family-run business, they truly care about the experience they provide.
