Heartfelt Family Farm Wedding Photos in Effington, SC

Maria and Dallon stand under a large tree for their wedding photos on their family farm. Maria's veil flows in the breeze and the sun sets behind them.

I woke up and, like any other wedding day, I checked the weather on my phone. When I saw 90s in the forecast, I told myself that I was ready for a challenge! The day was hot down in the low country, but that didn’t stop Maria and Dallon from having the most fun during their big day! I had so much fun capturing photos at their family farm wedding in Effingham, SC. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and some truly special moments.

I was so glad when one of the first things that Maria did when I walked in the door, was to hand me a box with all of her details. I love capturing all the small details that are special to each couple on their wedding day! If you are wondering what details you should include for your big day, check out my blog post on what details to include for your wedding day!

Maria and Dallon’s first look was a magical moment in the woods, surrounded by towering trees draped in Spanish moss. As they saw each other for the first time, they exchanged heartfelt vows as the sun broke through the treetops and shone around them. It was such a sweet and emotional start to their day, and I was honored to capture those raw, genuine emotions.

One of the coolest parts of their wedding was the Polaroid camera they had set up for a guest book. I LOVE this idea! And not just because I’m a photographer. I think it’s a fun way to remember all the loved ones that you invite to your wedding. As you’re flipping through your guest book years from now, you can see not only what your loved ones wrote, but their faces as well. All of Maria and Dallon’s guests took snapshots throughout the day, capturing wedding day memories and adding them to the book. It was a hit, and I loved seeing everyone’s creativity as they posed and snapped photos to commemorate the occasion.

The sun played a starring role in Maria and Dallon’s wedding day, casting a warm, golden glow during their sunset photos. It was absolutely perfect for capturing those romantic, dreamy moments as they enjoyed a quiet moment together amidst the beauty of the farm and the hustle of their guests having fun over at the reception tent.

Leading up to the wedding, Dallon’s family had planted sunflowers with hopes that they would bloom in time for their big day. While not all of them bloomed as expected, luckily all I needed was a few blooming sunflowers to create some magic! The few flowers that did bloom in time added a touch of vibrant color and natural beauty to their rustic setting. It was a lovely reminder of the care that went into preparing the farm for Maria and Dallon’s big day!

Maria and Dallon’s wedding was a beautiful blend of rustic charm and heartfelt moments, set against the backdrop of Effingham’s serene landscapes.
