The Portrait Process
What can you expect after you inquire? I'm glad you asked!
I photograph engagement sessions all throughout the Charlotte area — from scenic parks to modern urban spots. Some of my favorite locations include Daniel Stowe, Uptown Charlotte, Steven's Creek, and the quiet trails around Anne Springs Close Greenway. If you’re unsure where to shoot, I’ll help you choose a location that fits your personality, style, and vision. I have made a collection of my favorite locations in the area that I can share with you when we plan our session!
You’ll receive a fully edited online gallery with high-resolution images, typically 70-90 photos depending on the length of your session. Your gallery will be delivered within 3–4 weeks, and you’re free to download, print, and share your photos however you’d like!
I always recommend choosing outfits that feel like you — comfortable, confident, and true to your style. Neutrals and softer colors photograph beautifully, and avoiding busy patterns helps keep the focus on the two of you. I’m happy to help with outfit guidance or even look at ideas you’re considering! If the weather isn’t cooperating, we’ll simply reschedule to the next available date that works for all of us. I keep a close eye on the forecast leading up to your session and will reach out if we need to make a weather call. Your experience matters, and I want your photos to have the best possible light and atmosphere!
Yes! I looooove to travel! I happily travel for sessions throughout North Carolina and South Carolina — from Asheville and the Blue Ridge Mountains to Charleston, the coast, and anywhere in between. If your ideal location is outside of Charlotte, I’ll create a custom travel quote for your session!
Absolutely. You do not need to book a wedding package to schedule a couples or engagement session with me. Many couples choose a session simply to celebrate their relationship, create updated photos, or mark a special moment — no wedding date required.
Booking is easy! Just click the link below and fill out my contact form. I’ll get back to you shortly with availability and next steps. Once we select your date, a small retainer and signed agreement secure your session. From there, I’ll help you plan everything — location, outfits, and timeline — so the entire experience feels effortless!
