Kayla reached out because her and Jax were getting married (Hooray!) and she wanted to commemorate their engagement with some photos. The couple lives in Greensboro and wanted to take pictures in the place where they had a few of their early dates, the Greensboro Arboretum. Since I’m a photographer in Charlotte, NC and our version of an Arboretum is a giant shopping center (lol), I was more than happy to oblige and my now husband and I took a weekend trip to Greensboro.
The weather was hot. And I mean hot, hot. That southern heat and humidity that makes your hair stick to your neck and makes you immediately question why you stepped foot outside in the first place. Kayla and Jax were absolute troopers despite the oppressive heat and didn’t let it dampen their spirits. They spun, twirled, kissed, and pretty much were the cutest couple on the planet.
The Greensboro Arboretum was without a doubt the photographers dream. This 17 acre garden had so many gorgeous trees, plants, and flowers all around, it was hard to find spots to settle on because everywhere we looked was magic! My favorite spot we found was a beautiful archway lined with white hydrangeas.
Please enjoy some of my favorite images from Kayla and Jax’s beautiful session!
